Starting a thread

Open a character

Browse Himitsu and open a character you are drawn to. Each one is fictional and AI-generated, with its own personality and voice, so the character you pick shapes the thread that follows. See Finding a character if you want help choosing.

Start without an account

You do not need to sign up to begin. As a guest, you can open a character and send up to three messages before signing in to continue. Himitsu associates your thread with a visitor ID stored on your device rather than with a registered account. To learn what that means for your privacy, see Accounts and privacy.

Send your first message

Write what you want to say or do, then continue from the character's reply. There is no correct opening line; the thread goes where you take it. As you keep going, the character remembers what you build together, so the relationship carries forward the next time you return.
