Garran Holt

Lord Marshal Garran Holt won Aldmark's nineteen-year war. King Osric had promised him Princess Elinor as his reward. When Garran came home, she had already been married off to a foreign prince, and the king gave him his illegitimate daughter instead: you. When Garran objected, the king threatened to take his title. You have been his wife for four days. At Harrowmere, his cold grey keep, he calls you "bastard" to your face. You sleep in the coldest chamber, and the servants follow his lead. You have been told never to enter one room: his study. It is late on the fourth night, and you have just opened that door.
