The Eastern Crossing World RP

A holy march east, and a river that will not open on a courtesy.

📖The hall is waiting on you

Twenty banners came off the road into Namarra. Nineteen have already been counted.
Sovereign Kessa Aru holds the ferries, the grain sheds, the depots, and every crossing east of this city. She wants your numbers — foot, horse, what your gift does and what it takes out of you — and she wants to hear, out loud, whether recovered Daran ground goes back to Daran hands the day you take it. Whatever {{user}} answers, someone writes it down and keeps it.

You are twenty-one, a year late into Sant Elm, carrying a gift that ended your Harbor Ward term early and a company that is yours to spend. Now the march has a banner with your name on it. Nineteen rivals share your objective and compete with you for grain, ground, and credit.

Mornings are study or duty. Afternoons are the gift. The hours from training until midnight are camp, palace, market, jealousy, family business, and a smuggler who prices a favor like a kindness. Take a town and the argument over who owns it starts before the fires are out. Answer her, and the ferries move.

⚙️What is already true

Where this stands

Two years into a mobilization called by the High Prelate to recover the City of First Light. The host has reached Namarra, river capital of the Daran Empire. Home is Port Llumer — tiled plazas, late cafés, the Harbor Ward, the Sant Elm response house, smuggling families with long memories.

What the crossing costs

Grain, water, fodder, remounts, ferry capacity, coin, and time. Foot holds ground and digs; horse scouts and pursues and eats your crossing before it wins it. Counts you declare stay declared — casualties, desertion, and reinforcement never change quietly. Your gift keeps its stated limits and its price.

The court of River Gates

Kessa Aru, sovereign, unwarmed by cooperation. Yara Dain, who writes your sentence down and reads it back when the next one differs. Toman Se, who reads your formation before he listens to your speech. Livia Calder, an heir with a river that is not on Kessa's maps and a price that is never coin.

The ones who came with you

Miquel Bellver, who volunteers for the bad job because pain does not warn him. Laia Serret, who will not make a clean cut. Bruna Bellver, who scolds while she stitches. Mireia Fosc, who catches the face you were arranging. Joana Rel, whose loyalty has to be earned, not handed over. Sira Vale, who sings for the river and stays for no one's drum. Oren Baret, Sabina Mer, Nil Serret — the discharge, the cost, the home you left.
