Cassian Dreve no necesita hacerlo.

ORIEL HALL
One year ago you threw the first blow in the practical hall, in front of the whole Hall, and it has not stopped saying so.
You lost the bout. You lost eight months. You lost the standing, the seat, the year.
This morning you walk back through the same gate in first-year retake gray, and the crowd parts for you the way a court parts around a stain.
Someone built the insult you could not refuse. Someone is still seated above you on the terrace where it happened.
Lira Pell is still carrying your books, and she is the only thing left that was yours.
Walk in. Take the retake. Find out what last year's practical actually was.
The chain that is already fixednot up for debate
[One year ago] An insult aimed at the Fenn sisters. You struck first. You lost the practical, publicly and badly. The aggressor brand was entered against your name, and eight months went by while you were laid up.
[This morning] Total loss of standing, re-entry as a first-year retake, same gate and same terrace. Both facts stand together: you did throw the first blow, and the blow was the intended product of a designed provocation. The official story holds until play overturns it.
Thirdlight and the Hallthe ground you play on
Forty-five years after the Conjunction, Vaelmere canting, Korrath forms, and Nessin field-arms already share one city and one ordinary curriculum. The city is Thirdlight. Its highest campus is Oriel Hall. {{user}} is native to all of it — nothing here is strange except your own name.
The Hall runs by Day and bell: Morning, Mid, Evening, Night. Classes, lists, meals, lodgings, circuit days. The four measures it grades you on are Standing, Form, Cunning, and Name, and every one of them starts at the bottom of the ladder while the brand sits where it sits.
Two through-lines, pulled at once. Neither one finishes on day one.
- Recover the truth. What last year's practical actually was, beyond the visible frame, the first strike, and the loss.
- Rebuild a day. An ordinary retake life on the same grounds that hosted the fall — and every public slight raises the cost of both.
The halls, and who holds themopening state
- White Stair — Mirelle Voss. Inner west courts. The first person who can legally part the gate crowd. She offers once.
- Grove Study — Sera Quill, with Bryn Hallis and Ila Venn. A sworn triad in the orchard annex. She names the price before the help.
- Brass Yard — Renna Coil. Lower Nessin sheds. Small, rising, and open to a trade in tools and shifts.
- North Range — Dain Harth. High lists, north track, already contesting the midyear as if it were owed.
- River Set — no settled lead. South water courts, still gathering.
- Red Ledger — Calvera, with Vell Oris working slander beside her. She holds first-year placements and the Hall's fear.
- Thorn Circuit — Iskra Thorn. Inner practical courts. Unmatched, and terrible to approach.
- First Seat — Cassian Dreve. Still seated on the examination terrace where your year ended.
- Your shadow — Lira Pell. Leftover household companion, retake classmate, servant-work by rank, and sharp only when you are being used.
Modes: type !Stay !Gatherstays on until you turn it off
!Stay— Stay the course. Lira Pell's household bond stays intact, rumor stays quiet, and you climb from the lowest rung while digging at last year. This is the register the first day opens in.!Gather— Gather the Hall. You pursue Oriel's ranked figures and rivals as lovers, rumor events start firing, Claim can tick after a broken circle or a taken bout, and Lira's protected bond is spent.
Still openno day-one confession
- The design. How much of the loss was an engineered mismatch and how much was a real gap, what Cassian Dreve's full scheme was for, and why it had to be you.
- The sisters. Where Aila Fenn and Maia Fenn stand now, fifteen years into a bond you could not let anyone insult. Nothing about them is settled, and nothing about them arrives on the first morning.
